On May 30 and June 3, Governor Zhu Xiaodan and Vice Governor Yuan Baocheng respectively paid an inspection visit to Meicheng Village, Tongqu Town, Longchuan County, Heyuan City, Guangdong, for the rural and industrial park UHS LAN pilot project; they held symposium and on-the-spot meeting and highly appreciated the success of pilot project. They required to accelerate construction of rural UHS LAN in Guangdong, and hopefully, achieve industrialization of UHS LAN technology at world level soon through cooperation between GRENTECH and Guangdong Nufront CSC Co., Ltd. CEO Gao Yingjie, Vice President Yang Jianhui and Vice President Wang Haihua attended the symposium and on-the-spot meeting.

The UHS LAN technology independently developed by Guangdong Nufront CSC Co., Ltd. is world-leading, characterized by high speed, high rate and high stability, as well as low delay, low consumption and low cost. To accelerate industrialization of the Central Soviet Area, last December, the provincial government of Guangdong, Fujian and Jiangxi signed in Beijing the framework agreement with China Telecom and Guangdong Nufront CSC Co., Ltd on cooperation in promoting the rural UHS LAN pilot project in the former Central Soviet Area in Guangdong, Fujian and Jiangxi, and by advantage of FTTV technology of China Telecom, provide the former Central Soviet Area with low-cost and high-performance wireless network coverage, which addressed the difficulty in wireless broadband Internet access in remote rural areas. The project is first implemented in Guangdong, with the investment of 800 million yuan by the Central Government and Guangdong Provincial Government for the construction of UHS LAN for 13 counties and 3312 administrative villages from the former Central Soviet Area in Guangdong. As a strategic partner of Guangdong Nufront CSC Co., Ltd, GRENTECH undertakes the overall project implementation and auxiliary production.

Under direct leadership of Vice President Gao Kaixiong, the Guangong Branch, with repeated tests and against all odds, made efforts for one and a half month on project coordination, investigation, design and engineering construction, and finally completed construction of WAN in Meicheng Village, Tongqu Town, Longchuan County, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province, enabling coverage of wireless network for total 307 households in the village. In addition, UHS LAN was opened for the construction of the industrial park.

As Governor Zhu Xiaodan highlighted at the symposium following the inspection visit to the pilot site, the application of UHS LAN in the rural areas is a livelihood and popularity-winning project benefiting the people from the overwhelmingly majority of rural areas; it is an important measure to promote the supply-side structural reform. Relevant government agency is required to carefully study the application of UHS LAN, make more efforts to develop e-commerce covering rural areas, use information-based and digital methods to connect millions of rural residents with ever-changing market, and promote the work of targeted poverty alleviation. Zhu also emphasized that the UHS LAN technology shall also be applied in information network construction of urban areas.

Since Governor Zhu Xiaodan got to know that GRENTECH has partnership with Guangdong Nufront CSC Co., Ltd, she required GRENTECH to cooperate with Guangdong Nufront CSC Co., Ltd in promoting the construction of UHS LAN in the rural areas in Guangdong, so as to achieve industrialization of UHS LAN technology as soon as possible. She highlighted that in the construction of UHS LAN, the best technology in the world shall produce the best product in the world. It shall target 1.3 billion Chinese people, and, more importantly, go global. CEO Gao Yingjie gave his consent right away and promised to live up to her expectation.
